Stopped by bad Roman for a work lunch and I was absolutely blown away. Everything we ate was absolutely fantastic, the honey whipped ricotta was absolutely insane and one of the best things I'd ever tasted. The meat balls were out of this world. The star of the show, however, was the filetto which is a delicious steak topped with ravioli. The dish was unreal. The restaurant also has a super cool vibe and the ambiance reminds me of a place that you would be at in a movie. Run to this place and try it out immediately, it definitely lives up to the hype!

We had such an amazing meal here last weekend! It was packed on Sunday night, so making a reservation is a must. The restaurant has a trendy, cool vibe, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was worth the hype I'd seen on social media. We started with the east coast oysters and tuna tartare. The oysters were served with a cherry pepper sauce that had a nice kick to it, and the tuna tartare was simple but delicious. For my entree I ordered the rock shrimp chitarra which was SO good (I'd come back just to order this again). The sauce was so flavorful and it was packed with plenty of shrimp and scallions. My husband ordered the grilled pork shoulder, he said it was slightly overcooked but still overall a good dish. We finished our meal with the lemon cheesecake - in the shape of lemons! It was as delicious as it was aesthetically pleasing. The cheesecake filling was so tasty and it had a nice lemon flavor without being too tart. Would definitely dine here again!

Bad Roman is a great choice if you're looking for good food, and a fun, lively atmosphere. It's quite loud, so if you're wanting a quiet dinner, go elsewhere. Our food was very good, as was our dessert! The service was good as well. Definitely would recommend! But don't get lost trying to find it--it's in the mall!

Bad Roman is a fantastic spot for a modern take on Italian cuisine. The food is great--each dish is bursting with flavor and creativity. The highlight of our visit was definitely the bar. Ricky and Jamie are the best bartenders around! They made us some incredible cocktails and were super friendly. Valerie, the manager, was so kind and made sure we had an amazing time. If you're looking for delicious food and outstanding service, Bad Roman is the place to be. Can't wait to go back!

I've heard about this place, so it's always been on the back of my mind - decided to give it a try and definitely was not disappointed. It's a whole vibe, everyone is hospitable and overall the food was delicious. We ordered a lot to try - to start the toast with ricotta and honey was bomb, and it had black truffle! For the main, I had the pasta with kale and goat cheese, and lots of sides. Everything was so good. Don't leave without having the lemon cheese cake, insane! Will be back soon!

Bad Roman was all the rage last year - it is finally now feasible to get a reservation at, so we paid a visit. The vibes and menu are so creative and unlike any other place I've been to in the city. We started with drinks: the Spritzy Spritz & Strawberry Sbagliato - both were a bit underwhelming, but the Spritz would be my favorite of the two. To eat, we split a few things (variety!!): -Brussels Sprouts: these were amazing and one of my fave items of the night. I'm a Brussels sprouts gal, and I'd give these a 10/10! -Eggplant Pull-a-Parm: my favorite thing we ordered, and such a creative dish! My only complaint: need more dipping sauce!! -Kale Malfandine: one of the only 2 vegetarian entrees, and we enjoyed it. The lemon flavor was a tad overpowering but nevertheless I loved the sundried tomatoes and the dish in general. -Garlic Babka: a must-order! -Truffle Honey Ricotta: one of the viral items, it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Whatever you do, do NOT skip dessert: the famous Lemon Cheesecake IS worth every bit of hype it gets. The Chocolate Tarte is also very tasty. We had some espresso martinis with our desserts, which weren't my favorite: a bit too strong for my liking. So, does Bad Roman live up to the hype? Absolutely YES.

Ate here a few times, Ricky at the bar is one of the best servers in NYC. The cocktails are amazing, my favorite is the one with the shaved habanero ice cream- the granita maybe? The short rib pappardelle is delicious, didn't love the rock shrimp pasta dish.

Personally, I really liked Bad Roman! My friend and I made reservations ahead of time, which I definitely recommend, as it can get quite busy due to what I can only assume social media hype/it being trendy. We started with the Black Truffle Honey Whipped Ricotta which was incredible and definitely photo worthy. As an entree I had the Penne Luongo alla Gricia, which was interesting. I liked it, but it definitely was a more "modern pasta dish" rather than a traditional one. Our cocktails were great as well. My friend didn't particularly enjoy her food and felt it was overhyped, which is why I'm only giving 4 stars, but again, I personally liked it and would eat here again. Also, the ambience/atmosphere was really cool. Fun art deco vibe and gorgeous bathrooms.

4 solid stars of our 5. Located on one of the top floors of the Columbia Circle Mall, Bad Roman has a very cute exterior with the door resembling the letters B and R. It also has a very welcoming and chic interior that boasts Italian-American cuisine. Slightly overpriced for some items such as the whipped truffle honey ricotta toast and the split pasta dish with pesto and tomato sauce. However, must order dishes are the filet mignon with Cacio e Pepe ravioli and lemon cheesecake that is shaped like actual lemons. Flavor wise, slightly over salty with the Cacio e Pepe ravioli but otherwise pretty tasteful and tender meat for the filet mignon. Lemon cheesecake was delightful and well deserving of praise for being not too heavy or overwhelmingly sweet. Very nice ambiance for a place to take a date or family dinner - music is also a bit loud here in my honest opinion, but good vibes none the less.
